Annual Coastal Cleanup Day is Saturday, September 15th from 9AM - Noon.
The City of Watsonville joins Save Our Shores, the California Coastal Commission, and the Ocean Conservancy in celebrating the 33rd anniversary of Annual Coastal Cleanup. Every year, Coastal Cleanup Day attracts tens of thousands of volunteers locally in Watsonville, across the State of California, throughout the entire United States, and in dozens of countries abroad. These powerful people join forces to remove literal tons of trash and marine debris pollution, protecting our waterways, coastline, and ocean ecosystems. Save the date for this year's event which will take place on Saturday, September 15th, from 9 AM - Noon.
The City of Watsonville provides all necessary cleanup materials including trash and recycle bags, buckets, litter grabbers, gloves, and garbage tally sheets. Participants will also receive light breakfast refreshments and free lunch at all City sponsored locations. Volunteers are encouraged to dress in layers, to wear sunscreen and a hat, and to bring their own filled, reusable water bottle.
