Watsonville City Plaza
Join us for the 16th Annual Watsonville Earth Day - Day of the Child on Sunday, April 22nd from 12:00-4:00 p.m. at the historic Watsonville City Plaza. Over 6 sponsors, 9 City Divisions, and 50 organizations join to offer free kids activities and information on services available to local families. This festival is such a special opportunity for the community since local kids can perform on stage and have tons of fun while learning about our town in Spanish and English! Earth Day and Day of the Child are perfect holidays to celebrate as one. Earth Day is the day we should all consider how to help protect our environment and the resources we use for the future. Day of the Child is a Latin American holiday dedicated to the wonderful young children. We are "Together for a beautiful and healthy Watsonville" now and for the future.
Without our generous sponsors, this festival would not be free for our local families and non-profits. Sponsors allow us to bring special local talent to the stage, booths for partnering non-profits, provide recreation activities, and offer special incentives like reusable bags. Kaiser Permanente is a new "Wetlands Superhero" Sponsor, along with our loyal Register Pajaronian and the Survivor's Healing Center, Bay Federal Credit Union, Triple P and Lakeside Organic Gardens are our amazing "Ecological Educator" level of supporters and of course, the City of Watsonville is the Organizing "Clean Community" sponsor.
