Strawberry Lane Openings
Calling all non-profit organizations! The City of Watsonville Parks and Community Services Department is currently accepting vendor applications for Strawberry Lane at the 22nd Annual Watsonville Strawberry Festival on August 6th and 7th in downtown Watsonville.
Strawberry Lane provides non-profit organizations with the perfect opportunity to raise funds through the sale of strawberry themed foods. Not only is this a great opportunity for organizations to fundraise, but it is also a great way to promote the agency and the valuable services they provide to the community.
The cost for a Strawberry Lane vendor booth is $150 which includes tables, chairs and canopy. Strawberries will also be provided. Non-profit organizations wishing to participate in Strawberry Lane must have a 501(c) 3 tax status and apply for a Health Permit through the County of Santa Cruz. The closing deadline for Strawberry Lane vendors is June 22. Spaces are limited, so sign up today!

2016 Watsonville Strawberry Festival Poster Contest Winner
The City of Watsonville Parks and Community Services Department is pleased to announce the winner of the 2016 Watsonville Strawberry Festival poster contest. Local artist Priscilla Martinez has been selected as the contest winner for her art submission entitled, Images of Watsonville. When asked about what inspired the artwork, Priscilla responded, “I wanted to include bits and pieces of what makes up Watsonville.” The winning entry will serve as the official poster for the 2016 Watsonville Strawberry Festival. In addition, the artwork will be included on Festival souvenirs.
Priscilla Martinez is a Watsonville native who at the tender age of 10 created her first art piece. This is the third year in which Pricilla has won the Watsonville Strawberry Festival poster contest.
We would like to thank all the artists for their participation in the contest.
