Recycle Your Tires

California is faced with the significant challenge of diverting or safely managing more than 44.4 million reusable and waste tires generated each year. It is estimated that fewer than 25,000 waste tires remain in stockpiles throughout California.

These stockpiles pose a potential threat to public health, safety, and the environment. To make it possible CalRecycle assists the City of Watsonville to help the community to recycle tires by means of a Grant.  Below is the information on how you can recycle your tires. If you live out of the city of watsonville city limits, you can call the County of Santa Cruz Buena Vista Landfill.
