Swearing-In Ceremony of Watsonville Police Chief David Honda


The community is invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Watsonville Police Chief David Honda on Tuesday, April 12th at 5:00 pm in the Civic Plaza Council Chambers. A reception will immediately follow the ceremony in the Community Room located on the 4th floor of the Civic Plaza Building at 275 Main Street.

Police Chief David Honda comes to Watsonville after working 25 years in law enforcement. His experience spans virtually every aspect of policing including: administration, patrol, special operations, robbery unit, training division, police academy, SWAT team, among other roles. Most recently he served as Police Captain for the City of San Jose.

Mr. Montoya stated, “I’m very pleased and excited to have David Honda lead the Watsonville Police Department. His diverse background and broad spectrum of experience will make him a great fit for the City of Watsonville. We’re fortunate to have him.”
