W.E.A.C.T.

Watsonville Emergency Airlift Command Team  (W.E.A.C.T.) is an all volunteer organization, partnering with the Municipal Airport, to provide airlift support in event of local or regional emergencies. W.E.A.C.T.’s development was inspired by the pilots, volunteers and airport employees who worked tirelessly during the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake as depicted in “LIFELINE“.

 

Angel Flight West is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization that arranges free, non-emergency air travel for children and adults with serious medical conditions and other compelling needs.

 

Day in the Sky is a free Accessibility Expo featuring nonprofit groups, educational interactive displays, and vendors of assistive technologies & STEMA (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, & Aviation).

 

Los Médicos Voladoresin Spanish “The Flying Doctors”, is a 100% volunteer-based, non-religious, nonprofit organization that aims to improve the health and well-being of geographically diverse peoples through education and the provision of no-cost, high-quality medical, dental, and optometric clinics.

Santa Cruz County Chapter of the American Red Cross makes a difference in the lives of people in our community every day. As a volunteer-based organization the chapter relies solely upon donations of time, money and blood from the people of Santa Cruz County.

 

Young Eagles gives interested young people, ages 8 – 17, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers
