The City of Watsonville is a vibrant community located in the heart of the beautiful Monterey Bay area. The City of Watsonville is a full service city. Approximately 350 full-time employees provide city residents with police, fire, water, garbage, recycling, community development and recreation services.

The City also has two libraries, an airport and several dozen parks. The City is located in the fertile Pajaro Valley where strawberries, lettuce, and cut flowers are the main crops. Watsonville is known for a variety of annual festivals and events. People from around the country flock to Watsonville for the annual Watsonville Fly-in and Air Show, Watsonville Strawberry Festival at Monterey Bay and the Monterey Bay Birding Festival.
