Water Services Division Responds to Water Main Break

WaterMainBreakGreenvalley11-25-2014smallA 14″ water main break occurred at approximately 3:00 amĀ on the morning of 11/25, crews were dispatched to repair the leak. This was an emergency repair and 600+/- customers were affected by this disruption.

Water was out of service for a short while during the repairs. Water service was restored and water quality samples were taken to ensure public safety.

  • It is a reminder that during a water outage please contact our Customer Service Division at 768.3133 to receive more information about the disruption or call the non-emergency number at 471-1151.
  • After water mains are repaired it is recommended that our customer flush their highest point of use (sink, shower, or outside irrigation) to flush out any trapped air that may have entered the water system due to our repair work.

The water main break occurred during the time that City facilities were closed for the week. The closures were due to the Thanksgiving Holiday and the continued furloughs.
