Water Main Replacement Project – Freedom Blvd. & Crestview

PROJECT BEGINS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 18


An abandoned water main was discovered during the work on Freedom Blvd. Reconstruction Project. To continue to be pro-active, the abandoned water main will be removed and the existing water main will be replaced as it is over 50 years old.

Water Main Replacement Project

The Project

  • Freedom Blvd. from Broadis St. to Alta Vista in the north bound lanes
  • Installation of 2,200′ ft. of 18″ water main
  • New isolation valves
  • Fire hydrants
  • New domestic services (as needed)
  • Estimated time to complete project: 4 weeks or approximately by October 16th

In order to minimize impacts on our community, construction will be performed at night from 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on the nights of Sunday through Thursday. By working at night our crews will be able to achieve the following:

  • Work safely
  • Accurately utilize City resources to minimize project costs
  • Take advantage of off peak traffic times in order to reduce the length of the project
  • Effectively reduce traffic disruptions by performing the work on off-peak traffic times
  • Reduce impacts to local businesses and residents

  • June Ct.
  • Meghann Ct.
  • Michelle Ct.
  • Kirsten Ct.
  • Jasmine Ln.
