Public Works Conservation Academy

Since the 1990’s, the City’s Conservation Academy has provided over 45,000 students the opportunity to experience where their local water comes from, how wastewater is recycled, where their garbage and recycling go, and why it is important to preserve our wetlands. By participating in free school field trips, presentations and stewardship activities, Watsonville’s youth are learning the importance of conserving local resources.  Public Works Conservation Academy The goal of this academy is to build conservation awareness and habits while inspiring students to consider job options in utilities or related fields.
