Mañana Lane Sewer Replacement Project:  Replacement of this sewer line will help prevent sewer overflows in the neighborhoods west of Freedom Blvd. This sewer line was included on the list of highest priority as data collected revealed this area would overflow during wet weather flow.  The project will include the replacement of 3,154 lineal feet of 8”, 10” and 12” sanitary sewer with 15” and 18” pipe. Freedom Blvd. Underground Project:  – This project will place utilities: electric, telephone and cable facilities in underground conduit and boxes. The benefits of this include better reliability, reduced storm outage potential, greater traffic safety, improved neighborhood appearance and enhanced property values. Project will begin in March and will take up to 18 months. The work will be done on Freedom Blvd.  between East High St. and Miles Lane. For more information you can call 768-3117.

Sunshine Gardens – In January City Council approved a tentative map for an 89 unit development on the housing section of the Manabe-Ow land. The homes will be two and three bedroom single family detached homes, duets and row houses. Construction is expected to start in April and available for sale sometime this summer.
