The new Garbage/Recycling and Street Sweeper parking restrictions will provide these benefits:

  • Allow the City’s street sweeper to maintain your streets clean and improve our garbage and recycling services.
  • Prevent water pollution. The street sweeper trucks are specialized to remove dirt and toxins from streets that could enter storm drains contaminating our rivers, lakes, wetlands and beaches.
  • Help residents know when to park off the streets to let the street sweeper do its job. The new signs will help enforce this important and simple action residents can take to keep our City clean.

Working together we can create a clean and beautiful Watsonville. Please help keep the streets clean by picking up litter, picking up pet waste, and not blowing landscaping waste in to the streets. For questions call Customer Service at (831) 768-3133.
