Happy New Year! All City Facilities Re-open 1/4/2016

Happy New year! All city facilities have reopened its doors as of Monday, January 4, 2016. Just a few reminders:

Curbside Pickup – Christmas Trees

Christmas trees will be picked up curbside at residences in early morning on regular collection day from January 4th-8th. Please set tree out the night before your collection day.

Trees will be chipped for mulch to help plants grow or fuel to generate electricity. Please remove ornaments, tinsel, and metal and plastic stands before recycling. For curbside collection, please cut larger trees–6 foot maximum length accepted unless otherwise noted.


Free Drop-off through end of January

Residents may drop off Christmas trees for recycling at special bins at these locations:


Waste & Recycling Drop-off
320 Harvest Dr.
9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.


Watsonville Fire Station No. 2,
370 Airport Blvd.
Please drop off trees during daylight hours.

Santa Cruz County

Buena Vista Landfill
1231 Buena Vista Dr.
Closed January 1 . 
7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
