Freedom Blvd. Reconstruction Project Update

Freedom Boulevard paved. Striping to follow.

Granite Construction has completed construction of the roadway paving and concrete curb ramps. This half mile long project included strengthening the sub-base with cement, laying six inches of new pavement, construction of new curb ramps, installation of a new bus pullout, and new signs and striping. The layout for the new signs and striping will begin the week of March 20. The striping and signage will include markings to remind motorists and bicycles that bicyclists may use the full lane.

City Field Service crews worked nights to replace a water line that was within this section of roadway. The night work helped to minimize impact on traffic in the area.

Weather permitting, the striping and sign installation should be complete by the middle of April.
