Tree on Fire on Main Street – Southbound Traffic to be Shifted

Fire Department was dispatched at midnight to a fire on Main St. & Rodriguez to a burning Eucalyptus tree. The tree is approximately 150’ft. tall and approximately 20’ft. in diameter at the base. This is a very critical safety issue.

The City’s Field Services crews will be shifting all southbound traffic to the north bound side at Auto Center Dr. to Rodriguez as of 6:00 a.m. today and will be in affect until further notice.

Community Tree Service will be performing the work. Fire Department is also assisting. City staff is taking the lead with this to ensure the safety of motorists & pedestrians in this area of Main Street.
