Come help pre-fill sandbags for residents with limited mobility in preparation for heavy storms. City Water Division staff will have sandbags and sand on hand to create a supply that the City will store and have available for residents with limited mobility when sandbags are needed.

Some elderly and disabled residents are limited in their ability to fill sandbags. The pre-filled sandbags prepared during this event will be available (while suppplies last) to residents with limited mobility/ability at our two sandbag locations when heavy rains threaten property.

Residents of Watsonville are invited to help support the City in preparing pre-filled sand bags for residents with limited mobility. Volunteers are welcome to fill sandbags to take home during this event.

This sandbag pre-filling workday will be held at Home Depot located at 355 S. Green Valley Rd., Watsonville.

There will also be an information booth offering tips and resources to help you prepare for wet weather!

This event is sponsored by the City of Watsonville, Home Depot and Graniterock. For additional information contact the City’s Customer Service at 768-3133.
