Development on the Rise in Watsonville

The City of Watsonville is experiencing significant development growth this year. Several new developments have been completed while others are in the planning or construction phase. For additional information please contact Community Development at 768-3050


Tractor Supply Company located at 580 Auto Center Dr. opened its doors in June of 2015.

Fatima’s Fine Jewelry, a 2-story structure located at 307 Main St., with a jewelry store on the first floor has been completed.


A 195,000 square foot transfer facility for Federal Express is currently under construction at 102 Lee Rd.


Construction of a gas station and convenience store and four adjacent restaurant pads are currently in the design phase and will be located at the corner of West Beach and Lee Road.


Construction of Autozone’s newest location at 21 W. Lake Ave. was completed. McDonald’s, located at 186 Main Street opened in August.

Construction continues on the renovation and expansion of Salud Para la Gente’s Health Clinic located at 204 E. Beach St.


There are several approved housing developments that have not yet begin construction: Evans Circle on Airport Road, Blackbird Townhomes at 35 Harkins Slough Rd., Hansen Apartments at 445 Main St., Pippin Apartments located at 56 Atkinson Ln., Marin St. Townhomes at 1205 Freedom Blvd., 14 apartment units at corner of Riverside Dr. & Marchant St. and Twelve townhome units at 60 Blanca lane have been completed.
