City Awarded $364,000 from Monterey Bay Air Resources District

Watsonville was recently awarded $364,000 from Monterey Bay Air Resources District for an Adaptive Traffic Signal System on Green Valley Road from Harkins Slough Road to Carnation St.  This project would improve traffic flow for the over 20,000 motorists, bicyclists, buses and pedestrians that use this corridor daily.  This project could begin design as early as Summer 2017.

The city previously received $200,000 from the Monterey Bair Air Resources District to install the city’s first Adaptive Traffic Signal System earlier this year on Freedom Blvd.
