On Sunday, December 8, 2013, downtown Watsonville will be transformed into a Winter Wonderland with the Holiday in the Plaza celebration.  Come and experience holiday cheer at this annual event featuring Snow Day, the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony and other fun activities for the entire family, which are made possible by local business owners June and Rogelio Ponce, other generous  business owners and dedicated community volunteers.

Entry into the snow begins at 2:00 p.m. and the lighting of the live, 30-foot Christmas tree commences at 6:15 p.m. There will also be plenty of activities for children including a petting zoo, photo booth and face painting. The Farmer’s Market vendors will join the celebration to provide a variety of delicious foods and beverages for everyone to enjoy while listening to holiday music. Santa Claus is also scheduled to make a special visit. Admission to the snow is one non-perishable food item for donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Mark your calendars and don’t forget to shop, dine and celebrate locally during this holiday season.
