June 7, 2016  Presidential Primary Election

Early voting is available beginning May 9 from 8am to 5pm weekdays at the Watsonville City Clerk’s Office at 275 Main St., 4th Floor (6th floor of the parking garage). 

Santa Cruz County is mailing almost 77,000 ballots to voters on Monday, May 9, which is the first day ballots can be mailed to local voters. Ballots to military and overseas voters have already been mailed.

The County Voter Information Guide is also available online at www.votescount.com along with candidate statements and information on the local measures. Voters can also go online to find out where to vote on Election Day and obtain directions on how to get there.

Voters may also go online to www.votescount.com and request a ballot be mailed to them or voters can call the department at 831-454-2060 to request a ballot by mail.

The deadline to change your political party registration is May 23. You can re-register to vote online at www.registertovote.ca.gov or pick up a card at any post office, library, DMV or our City Clerk’s Office. Currently, there are 140,422 registered voters in the county, including 15,590 in the City of Watsonville.

All Candidates for state and local offices are required to file campaign disclosure statements at established dates before the election.
