Board of Library Trustees

The  Board of Library Trustees’ powers and duties are defined in the  City of Watsonville Charter Section 910.

The Board of Library Trustees consists of seven (7) members who are appointed by the City Council.

The Library Trustees are in charge of the administration of the City Libraries.

Other duties and powers include: consider the annual budget and make recommendations, purchase materials for the library, accept money, personal property or real estate donated to the City for library purposes, contract with other agencies and  any other duties relating to library matters as directed by the Council not inconsistent with the provisions of the City Charter.
